    Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm (35 hours per week)

    Your Role, Your Impact

    As the Development Manager, you will be contributing to FirstPort’s vision to be the UK's leading property manager. FirstPort is the UK’s largest residential property service provider, caring for 330,000 homes in England, Wales and Scotland.

     This role reports to the Property Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Completing all Health and Safety checks and risk assessments and ensuring all recommended actions are completed within the deadline provided and updated on a weekly basis.
    • Maintaining the site standards; including communal lounges, cleaning the guest suite and all gardens and grounds.
    • In collaboration with your Property Manager, instructing major works on site and showing a full understanding of the Section 20 process.
    • Checking the welfare of residents on a daily basis and continue to be their first port of call for any enquires they may have. This will include supporting a Residents Association, if one is present.
    • Coordinating with Appello-Careline during emergencies.
    • Liaising with contractors to ensure all works are completed in a safe and timely manner, while continuing communication with residents.
    • Responsible for the development’s finances, assisting with the preparation of the budget, raising work orders and monitoring the expenditure against the budget throughout the year.
    • Assisting colleagues from Retirement HomeSearch with the selling of resident’s flats.
    • Have a clear understanding of the developments lease and be vigilant of any breaches. Escalate accordingly to the Property Manager and keeping in line with all procedures.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Complying with Health and Safety and completing risk assessments.
    • Experienced in the use of tablet or laptop devices. Able to record/save data and use different applications including; Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
    • Previous experience in a customer-facing environment and have a strong passion for providing excellent customer service.
    • Handling budgets and administrating invoices.
    • Coordinating projects which involves liaising with contractors or suppliers.
    • Have a caring nature and able to provide empathy to residents, while being professional and confidential.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong problem solving skills.
