Your Role, Your Impact
The Fire Safety Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring fire regulatory compliance by quality assessing FRA’s and associated documents to ensure that the correct life safety actions have been identified. To do this the Fire Safety Compliance Manager will work closely with Building Safety Managers, General Health and Safety specialist, Safety Assurance Business Partners, Property Managers, Development Managers and Regional Managers, establish and maintain communications with all stakeholders (internal and external), form and maintain relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality assess FRA’s against fire strategy compliance, associated reports and building characteristics
- Liaise with FRA and report providers to ensure accuracy
- Highlight key document gaps
- Review the fire related golden thread (PEEPS. Life safety systems, Information Boxes etc.)
- Produce fire safety risk-based list of actions for operations
- Ensure Data station is updated
- Update building safety managers to ensure engagement message is aligned
- Support operations and safety assurance business partners as required with higher level fire safety technical advice and guidance
- Support Management with external enforcement authority liaison
- Support due diligence/mobilisation
- Investigate Fire Safety incidents and provide higher level technical advice and guidance for prevention purposes
- Respond to fire safety emergencies providing higher level technical advice and guidance
- Provide regular reports as required on performance and learning opportunities
Skills & Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in fire safety practice
- Hold the Level 4 Diploma in Fire Risk Assessment
- Proven experience of reviewing fire risk assessment
- Excellent Knowledge and an understanding of building guides (ABD) and Brit-ish standards pertaining to fire safety (BS 9999 / BS 9991), including relevant up-to date fire safety legislation such as The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Fire Safety Act 2021, Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 and Building Safety Act 2022
- Experience of working across functions to deliver results
- Hold industry relevant accreditations such as IFE, IFSM, CIOB, IWFM, RICS, TPI
- Be passionate about fire safety and ensuring that homes under our management are safe for residents
- Hold a full UK driving licence
